Hello, I am curious about an error that keeps on occurring with the trial download of Captivate 8. I am working on a Company Machine, a Dell Precision Tower 7910, and I need to download a trial of Adobe Captivate 8. Upon the install it reaches 99% and then a dialogue box appears stating ' Installation Flailed Adobe Genuine Software Verification Failure'.
I used the Google Chrome browser and installed the Captivate 64 bit for windows version from I have a Creative cloud account that I signed into and used an administators username and password to approve the install onto the PC. What is the cause of this error and how can I resolve it? Best regards, Abraham Rivera. Sorry, I know very similar questions have been asked, but I cannot seem to find a response which solves my difficulty. I am trying to activate CS6 as a trial version. When I first opened the program I think it asked if I had a product code, or if I was signing up for a trial. It then took me to a window which said 'Sign in Required'.
The only option from this screen is 'Sign in Now'. When I press 'sign in now' I get an error message stating 'Please connect to the internet and retry'. The only options available from here are Cancel (obviously gets me no further), retry (which does the same again) or a suggestion that I go to the 'getactivated' page to activate my software offline. When I follow the offline activation option I am taken to a webpage which offers to generate a response code: I need a request code and serial number to use this, however (neither of which I have) and even if I did I do not reach a place in the software which allows me to input a response code.
I have followed the advice on the FAQ pages - my PC does have working internet, I can access secure sites, my hosts file appears to be empty (well, not completely empty - it has information in, but no list, so I am a bit baffled by that) and my GlobalSign Root Certificate is enabled. And I have no idea what to try next.
I was hoping to like this software enough to replace my very antique version of Photoshop 6.0, but if I can't get into it then I won't! I am trying to install the trial version of CS6 master suite. But am having trouble doing so on my Mac Pro 8-core running lion 10.7.4. Here's the story. I downloaded the installer copied it to my mac pro (which isn't connected to internet). I started the install, which went through most of the install but then stalled when it got to 99% (installing InDesign Common Language file I believe was what the installer said it was doing at the time), it's ETA was 1 min. But alas it's stayed like that for a good hour!
I was working on other things at the time on another machine so I figured I'd let it be and see what happens, but nothing happened, so. I force quit the installer. I then tried restarting the installer. When I selected the whole master suite to install it estimated the install to be only 1.8Gb, so I assume it sees that most of the files are already there. But when it goes on to the install process itself it terminates with the following message: INSTALLATION FAILED! Your installation encountered errors.

ERROR: Media DB Error: 18 - I have tried Restarting and reinstalling twice already with always the same result All the applications are there on my system, I see them all in the app folder, but none are working, the AAM comes up in the dock, bounces a few time and then just stops responding. I repaired permissions and disk just before doing the install. I deleted everything CS6 from my system and started again, installing less apps this time and the exact same issue occured. I have contacted Adobe Chat support twice already, but they have proved completely useless unfortunatly, giving generic solution that I have performed, but that changed nothing.

I am hopping maybe I am not the only one who encountered this problem, and that someone might have found a solution to this. Hi, I received email from Adobe which states that Adobe has reset the clock on product trials, including InDesign, and if I've previously tried them, I could do so again.

The email stated that all I had to do was go to my Creative Cloud desktop application and click 'Update' next to the app I want to try. When i went to the Creative Cloud app, there is no 'update' button and when I try to use my trial copy of InDesign, it says that the trial is expired. I love the product and have owned and used it since version CS2. Can anyone shed light on why I can't take advantage of the extended trial period of the InDesign CC version? Please advise. I had PhotoShop CS6 trial, which expired. I have purchased Creative Cloud student edition, I receive a message that my PhotoShop trial has expired.
I am prompted to purchase the product to extend it, or type in the product's serial number (I never received a serial number.) I paid for Creative Cloud and have an order number, I should not be having this issue. I have uninstalled and reinstalled PhotoShop CS6 multiple times, I also use DreamWeaver and am fearful that I will encounter the same issue. How can I use the Photoshop CS6 after I have paid for it?

Hi, I'm having trouble validating serial numbers generated by the XForce Keygen for the Adobe CS6 under macOS Sierra. I successfully installed this in El Capitan earlier this year. Tried on two separate (clean) Sierra installations (with clean hosts files), so I'm thinking it might be a Sierra bug, but I don't know for sure. Has Adobe changed something on their end in the last few months rendering this procedure unusable?
Anybody else having this problem? Or have suggestions?
Thanks in advance. I installed CS6 on a friend's computer running El Capitan. He upgraded to Sierra (NOT a fresh install, just a 'regular' upgrade) and all the CS6 apps still seem to work ok. Not ideal, though, as I prefer to do fresh (re)installations of major OS updates. The patching shit drives me nuts- it's my understanding every app would have to be repatched every time an app is updated.
Plus, if I go the patching route, I would just use the most recent CC versions. The other great/handy thing about CS6 is that I can install everything at once. When you say 'Sierra blocked all type of key-gen generating apps' do you mean that the keygen itself won't run in Sierra?

Because I'm having the same problem. To get around it, I'm running the keygen in a Yosemite VM. But the Adobe installer still doesn't validate the serial before installation begins. I also tried initializing the installation via this to no avail. Yet if I run the Adobe installer in Yosemite or El Capitain, the serial does validate (even when running the keygen in a (separate) Yosemite VM) and I can proceed with installation as usual. Or do you mean that there is some other under-the-hood stuff going on in Sierra that blocks apps from installing via serials generated from keygens?
Somewhat relatedly, I was able to install Lightroom 6 in Sierra. The Lightroom installation allows you to install as a trial and then activate offline, completely bypassing the need to enter a serial number. I used the offline activation code from Lightroom in the 2014 Adobe CC keygen I snagged from another torrent.
Hello TravallingSalesman, I've been trying to get this to work too because i need Encore installed aside of CC but with no luck. I managed to fix the keygen but i keep getting the 'Unable to verify this serial' error as well. I've looked into de PDApp.log on Sierra and El Capitan (both freshly installed) and i noticed the following line: El Capitan: P6Flex.ValidateSerialStatusCommand Received validate serial response: ERRORSNOFFLINE Sierra: P6Flex.ValidateSerialStatusCommand Received validate serial response: ERRORSNGENERIC In El Capitan the installation proceeds with the error that you are offline while in Sierra you just get the above mentioned error. Don't know what might be causing it but if the log could help let me know.
